Top 20 countries by income per person (GDP per person, PPP)
Gross domestic product per person in international dollars, adjusted for local prices
Updated · GDP per person (international $)
Why these 20
World Bank indicator NY.GDP.PCAP.PP.CD: the value of everything a country produces in a year, divided by its people and converted at purchasing power parity, so a dollar buys the same basket everywhere. Small finance and oil economies (Luxembourg, Singapore, Ireland, Qatar) lead because output booked there is large next to a small population; it is an average, not what a typical household earns.
